The Age of The Corset?

A little known fact ladies, the corset has been with us in various forms since circa 1600 BCE when a Cretan figurine appears with a representation of a corset as an outer garment, with breast exposed. Not really suitable in today's polite society.
As an under garment the corset was made popular in the 1500s in the French Court by Catherine de Medici. The ladies of the Court regarded the corset as "indispensable to the beauty of the female figure".
